Let the number of bullocks be x.
Given that The number of cows is double than that of the bullocks but the number of cows and hens is the same.
= > That means hens = cows = 2x. -------- (1)
Given that there is one keeper per 10 birds and cattle and the keeper does not exceed 50.
= > That means the keepers can be 4 maximum. ------- (2)
From (1) & (2), we get
= > Total number of heads = x + 2x + 2x + 4
= 5x + 4.
Now,
= > Total number of legs = 4x + 4 * 2x + 2 * 2x + 2 * 4
= 4x + 8x + 4x + 8
= 16x + 8.
Given that there are 69 heads less than legs.
= > (16x + 8) - (5x + 4) = 69
= > 16x + 8 - 5x - 4 = 69
= > 11x + 4 = 69
= > 11x = 65
= > x = 5.5
= > x = 6
Therefore the number of cows = 2 * 6
= 12.
Hope this helps!
