Given Equation is (x+1)(2x+8) = (x+7)(x+3).

2x^2 + 10x + 8 = x^2 + 10x + 21

2x^2 + 10x = x^2 + 10x + 21 - 8

2x^2 + 10x = x^2 + 10x + 13

2x^2 = x^2 + 13

x^2 = 13

x =  \sqrt{13} , x = - \sqrt{13}

Hope this helps!

( X +1 ) ( 2X + 8) = (X+7) ( X +3 )

2X ^{2}+ 8X + 2X + 8 = X^{2} + 3X + 7X +21

2X ^{2} + 10X +8 =  X^{2}+ 10X + 21<br /><br />   X^{2} = 13<br /><br />  X =  \sqrt{13}
