There are two types of forces X and Y. The forces belonging to type X can produce motion in a stationary object but cannot change the shape of the object. On the other hand, forces belonging to type Y cannot produce motion in a stationary object but can change the shape of the object. What is the general name of the forces such as (a) X, and (b) Y ?

(a) X is unbalanced force : unbalanced force is able to give motion to the body. because it acceleration the body in a specific direction by which body starts to move without changing their shape.

(b) Y is balanced force : according to Newton's 3rd law, “action and reaction are of equal in magnitude and directed in opposite directions. ”

if two equal forces applied on a body are directed in opposites then body can't change its motion. but this force is able to change their shape.
