first we can connect this in two ways that is parallel and series
for that we have formulas for the combined resistance
they are
for parallel R( eq)= R1×R2÷R1+R2
and for the series
R(eq)=R1+R2
from this substitute the values then we get values. that is
to obtain 2 ohms they should be connected in parallel
and for 8 ohms they should be connected in series
