Role of GHMC towards swachh bharat in hyderabad

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commission (GHMC) commissioner B Janardhan Reddy on Friday said the managements of hotels and function halls were asked to initiate in-situ composting, bio-methanisation or any other waste management techniques as mandated in the MSW Rules, 2016 in order to intensify the Swachh Bharat movement.The GHMC had initiated a number of awareness programmes at household level, shops and establishments, hotels and function halls so as to ensure waste disposal is followed as per Municipal Solid Waste, 2016.
