Shares of A, B and C are 113.2 Rs, 268.2 and 243.2 Rs respectively

Given:

Rs.624.60 is to be divided among A, B and C

A receives Rs.130 less than C and C receives Rs.25 less than B

To find:

How much will each receive? (in order of A, B and C respectively) (in Rs.)

Solution:

Let x be the amount received by B

Given that C receives Rs.25 less than B

⇒ The amount that C received = (x-25)

A receives Rs.130 less than C

⇒ The amount that A received = (x-25) - 130 = (x-155)

The shares of A, B and C are (x-155), x, (x-25)

As we know total amount = 624.60 Rs

⇒  x-155 + x+ x-25 = 624.60

⇒ 3x - 180 = 624.60

⇒ 3x = 804.6

⇒ x = 268.2

Therefor, the amount received by B = 268.2

The amount that C received = (x-25) = 268.2 - 25 = 243.2 Rs.

The amount that A received = (x-155) = 268.2 - 155 = 113.2 Rs

Therefore,

Shares of A, B and C are 113.2 Rs, 268.2 and 243.2 Rs respectively
