let the cp be x

ACQ,

sp = 14400

gain = 1/5*x

cp = sp - gain

x = 14400 - 1x/5

x +1x/5 = 14400

6x/5 = 14400

x = 14400*5/6

x = 12000

hence the costprice is rs12000
