Pure silver in any form will also tarnish if exposed to air becauseof the sulfur in the air, not the oxygen.Coins, ingots or bars covered in airtight plasticor other containers won’t tarnish.Jewelry, teapots or cutlery made of silverare always exposed to air andwill get black more quickly because the silver surfaces combines with sulfurto forma very thin crust. The back is easily removed with silver polish

The position of silver is very low in the metal reactivity series, so it reacts very less. Thus, it has almost zero affinity for oxygen and so it does react easily with oxygen.

However, a silver jewellery like a necklace is not pure. It has impurities like copper and zinc, which are more reactive than silver. Although silver jewellery does not corrode for oxygen, the pollutant Hydrogen sulphide gas (H2S) reacts with the silver jewellery, thus forming a black crust of Ag2S. Hence there is a layer formed at the top. So I think that my answer is better

Notwithstanding, it is you to decide which answer is the brainliest. I have done my job to help you. Thanks.
