Slow breathing is the characteristics of:
a) Aerial animals
b) Land animals
c) Desert animals
d) Aquatic animals
Answers
Answer:
Many do. Its a question of relativity. One animal might need less breaths than another and some are truly amazing.
For example, humans breathe about 15-18 times a minute but tortoises breathe only 4-5 times a minute. Even elephants breathe less than humans. Then we have the hibernating animals who are effectively as good as dead coz they practically breathe once after several minutes. The dormouse actually breathes so less that its body is almost shut down with the heart pumping only once in several minutes. Some species of frogs get frozen in ice and do not breathe at all until they thaw. The mudskipper is a fish that stops breathing completely once it is in the mud during the dry season.
I hope you get your answer. The world is amazing and nature is still more amazing but only for those who have an eye for the magic.. Observe and learn is my rule. It should be so for everyone.
