Lets take equation 1 and 2 * equation 2 and add together.

3x + 4y =10 ----- (1)

4x – 4y = 4  ----- (2) * 2

Adding them, we get 7x = 14. Therefore x = 14 / 7 = 2.

Substituting x = 2 in equation 2, we get:

2(2) - 2y = 2

4-2 = 2y

2 = 2y

y = 1

Hence solved. The values are x = 2 and y = 1.
