[0.4x+3y=1.2_____(I)]×2

[7x-2y=17/6_____(II)]×3

Multiplying equation (I) by 2 and equation (II) by 3,,

On adding equation one and two,,

0.8x+6y=2.4

21x-6y=(17/6)3

----------------

21.8x=2.4+17/2

=>21.8x=2.4+8.5

=>21.8x=10.9

=>x=10.9/21.8

=>x=(109×10)/(218×10)

=>x=109/218

=>x=1/2

Since,,Value of x on keeping in equation (I)

Hence,,

(0.4×1/2)+3y=1.2

=>(4/10)×(1/2)+3y=1.2

=>0.2+3y=1.2

=>3y=1.2-0.2

=>3y=1

=>y=1/3

The value of,, x=1/2

& The value of,,y=1/3,,,Ans....
