When the tendril comes in contact with the object the phytoharmone auxin diffuses to the other side of the plant which does not touch the object . Hence the part of plant which has auxin grows which appears like swirling around the object.

This is because of the different amount of auxins secretion in both parts.
Explanation:
When tendrils come in the contact with a support, the auxins ( a phytohormone ) that help in the plant growth, starts moving away from the part that is in contact with support toward the end that is away from support.
Due to less concentration of auxins the former part experiences less growth whereas the latter one undergoes more growth.
