Some raisins are kept in porridge and after sometime it is observed that it swell's up why?

HIS IS SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE PROCESS OF OSMOSIS,THAT TOO ENDO-OSMOSIS , THE HIGHER CONCENTRATION F THE SOLVENT IN THE PORRIDGE MOVED TO THE REGION OF LOWER CONCENTRATION I.E IN THE CELL, CAUSING IT TO BULGE AND SWELL....
