In reference to the story "If I were you" the over - clever person was the intruder. He was thought himself to be too smart and Gerrard a fool however ironically at the end Gerrard proved to be smarter than him. Intruder thought that he would kill Gerrard, take his identity and will live his life safely without any fear of cops. During the boring conversation between them Gerrard made a story in his mind to trap Intruder he said intruder that he is himself a criminal and he was to be arrested soon. Intruder believe on his fake story. While Gerrard was executing his plan, Intruder lean toward the door to check and was trapped inside the cupboard. Now, here the matter of over - cleverlessness of Intruder is thinking him to be smart and his believe on Gerrard's story.
