HELLO DEAR,

GIVEN THAT:-

x notes of 10 Rs.
            y notes of 50 Rs.
             AND the sum is 2500 Rs.

NOW,

10x + 50y = 2500 -------------(1)
     50x + 10y = 2000 ------------(2)

adding-----(1) & ------(2)

we get,

50x + 10y = 2000
10x + 50y = 2500
--------------------------
60x + 60y = 4500

2X + 2y = 150---------(3)

subtracting-----(1) & -----(2)

50x + 10y = 2000
10x + 50y = 2500
(-)____(-)____(-)
---------------------------
40x - 40y = -500

2X - 2y = - 25----------(4)

From-----(1) & -----(2)

2x + 2y = 150
2x - 2y = -25
-------------------
4x = 125

X = 125/4

X = 30.9 put in -----(3)

We get,

2(30.9) + 2y = 150

2y = 150 - 62.5

2y = 87.5

Y = 87.5/2

Y = 43.75

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS

abhi569: I Think.... Your answer needs a correction
abhi569: 125/4 ≠ 30.9
abhi569: 2(30.9) ≠
abhi569: 62.5

heya...!!!

x notes of 10 Rs.

y notes of 50 Rs.

AND the sum is 2500 Rs.

NOW,

10x + 50y = 2500 -------------( 1 )
50x + 10y = 2000 ------------( 2 )

from--------(1) & ------(2)
multiply by 5*--(1)

we get,

50x + 10y = 2000
50x + 250y = 12500
(-)_____(-)____(-)
--------------------------
-240y = - 10500

=> 24y = 1050

=> y = 1050/24

=> y = 43.75 [ put in ---( 1 ) ]

10x + 50(43.75) = 2500

10x = 2500 - 2187.5

x = 312.5/10

x = 31.2

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU
