45
negatively charged cl ion has electrons=18(as it gains one)
electronic configuration-2,8,8

Bachanimoninka: please do it in method
AjayKumar111111: means
Bachanimoninka: u have do it
Bachanimoninka: means it is in method
Syedafarheen: okay look... the question is to find out number of neutrons and the ec of neutron num.. so the formula to find number of neutrons is mass number - atomic number... after doing it we get 18... then the write electronic configuration for 18 which i have already given it
AjayKumar111111: cl has 17 electrons in its valence shell so it just need one electron to complete its noble gas configuration when it gains one electron it becomes an anion that is negatively charged and its total electrons will become 18 so electronic configuration become 288
Bachanimoninka: ok
Bachanimoninka: i have been understand
Bachanimoninka: thank u

17
18 is the number of neutrons present in the atom the electronic configuration of 18 is 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2,3p6
