Let the 2nd number be x

ACC to the question

1st number = x-3
and 3rd number = x+9

now, x+x-3+x+9/3= 50
therefore, 3x + 6 =150
3x= 144
therefore x = 144/3
x= 48

bharat4620: The three numbers are of an average of 50. The second is the number that is greater than the first number, but 12 is smaller than the third and the second is the number 2

Answer:

48

Step-by-step explanation:

let second no.= x

first no.=x-3

third no.=x+9

[x+x+x-3+9]/3=50

x+x+x-3+9 = 150

3x =150-6

3x =144

∴ x = 48 or the second number is 48
