Since area of a parallelogram is  A=BASE *HEIGHT
SO according to question if height =x then base= 2x A=512cm2

∴ 2x*x=512

Area= 512 cm2
(Area of parallelogram=b×h)
b×h=512 cm2 -------- (i)
Base = 2 times height
Let height= x
then base= 2x
From (i),
2x*x=512
2(x)square = 512
(x)square= 512÷2 = 256
x=√256 = 16 cm
Height =16cm
Base=2×h= 2×16= 32cm
