2πr = d + 60

2 *22*r/7 = 2r + 60

44*r = 14r + 420

30r = 420

r = 140 cm

Area

22* r * r / 7

= 22*140*140/7

= 61600 cm²

Answer:

area of the circle is 616 cm sq

Step-by-step explanation:

circumference of the circle = 2 pie r ( 2 * 22/7 * r)

r = radius

2*r = diameter

therefore,

circumference = 22/7 * d = 22d /7

also given,

circumference = 60 + d

therefore,

60+d = 22d/7

60 = 22d/7 - d

60 = 22d-7d/7

60 = 15d/7

60*7 = 15d

60 * 7 / 15 = d

7* 4 = d

d = 28 cm

radius = 28/2

         = 14 cm

area f a circle = pie (radius) sq

                       = 22/7 * 14 * 14

                      = 616 cm sq
