ABCD is a square , it means all sides of ABCD are equal.
Given, co-ordinate of A ≡ ( 2,0)
and co-ordinate of B ≡ (0,2)
Length of AB = \bold{\sqrt{(2-0)^2+(0-2)^2}=\sqrt{4+4}=2\sqrt{2}}
So, side length of square ABCD = length of AB = \bold{2\sqrt{2}}
∴ area of square = (side length)² = (\bold{2\sqrt{2}} )² = 8 sq unit
