=> CP of 16 notebooks = ₹ 16
=> SP of 12 notebooks = ₹ 16
=> SP of 1 notebook = ₹ 16/12 = ₹ 4/3

Gain = SP - CP
Gain = 4/3 - 1
Gain = ₹ 1/3
Gain % = Gain/CP × 100
Gain % = [(1/3)/1] × 100
