The denominator of a rational number is greater than it's numerator by 7
let thhe numerator be x and denominator be y
y=x+7

if the numerator is increased by 17 and denominator is decreased by 6 ,the new number becomes 2
[x+17/y-6]=2
[x+17/x+7-6]=2  { remember y=x+7}
[x+17/x+1]=2

now lets cross multiply
x+17=2(x+1)
x+17=2x+2
x-2x=-17+2
-x=-15
x= 15

y=x+7
so 15+7
y=22

the original number is 15/22 or 15:22 .pls mark as brainliest
