power sharing avoids social conflicts.social conflicts lead to violence and political instability.so by adopting power sharing we can avoid political instability.in india reservations are done to sc and st communities so that they feel that they are part of the nation.
MORAL REASONS :
The avoiding conflict in society and preventing majority tyranny are considered as prudential reasons for power sharing. Maintaining the spirit of democracy is considered as the moral reason for power sharing.

Prudential reason power sharing help in reducing the conflict between various social groups Hans power sharing is necessary for maintaining social harmony and peace in India seats are reserved for the weaker section of society example reservation of seat for scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe this allow the weaker section also to participate in the running of the government.
Moral reasons upholds the spirit of democracy. In a truly democratic setup the citizens too have a stake in governance. In India the citizens can come together to debate and criticise the policies and decisions of government. This in turn puts pressure on the government to rethink its policies and reconsider its decision.
