Answer:

Volume of room = 90 m³

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

The expenditure of painting 4 vertical walls of a room of length 6m and height 3m respectively is rupees 990 at rate of rupees 15 per m²

To find the area of 4 walls

Area of walls = cost/(cost per m²) = 990/15 = 66 m²

To find breadth

we know that,dimensions of 4 walls are lxh and bxh

l -length = 6m

b - breadth = ?

h - height = 3m

we can write,

area = 2h(l + b) = 2*3(6 + b) = 66m²

6(6 + b) = 66

36 + 6b = 66

6b = 66-36 = 30

b = 30/6 = 5m

To find the volume of room

Volume of room= lbh

Volume = 6*5*3 = 90 m³
