the extension in string is x ,the speed of sound in the stretched string is v .if the extension in string is increased yo 1.5x what will be the new speed of sound?

The spring potential energy will get converted into kinetic energy....
Therefore...1/2kx^2 = 1/2 mv^2
i:e. x is directly proportional to v
And if u increase the extension to 1.5x speed will also increase by 1.5 times...
