The lens of the human eye is biconvex. When we see an object, the light rays from the object get refracted and as a result of that the image will focus on the retina. The image thus formed is real and inverted. Also, it looks smaller than the external object in view. This image is carried to the brain in the form of electrical signals by the optic nerve. The brain interprets these signals and process the information so that we can see the objects erect.
