The length and breadth of a rectangle are 60 cm and 40cm respectively. If the length is increased by 30% and the breadth is decreased by 20% find the new length and breadth of the rectangle.

length=60cm

breadth=40cm.

length after being increased by 30 percent =30/100*60=18

=60+18=78

breadth after being decreased by 20 percent = 20/100*40=8

40-8=32

thus the new length is 78 and new breadth is 32
