Answer :

To find the median, firstly we will arrange the data in ascending order.

1,2,5,6,6,6,7,9,11,13

Total no. of observations (n) = 10

As 10 is even, therefore -

median \: = \frac{ (\frac{n}{2} )th \: \: term \: + ( \frac{n}{2} + 1)th \: \: tem}{2} \\ \\ \frac{ (\frac{10}{2} )th \: \: term + (\frac{10}{2} + 1)th \: \: term}{2} \\ \\ \frac{5th \: term \: + 6th \: term}{2}

5th term = 6
6th term = 6

 = > \: \frac{6 + 6}{2} \\ \\ \frac{12}{2} \\ \\ = > \: 6 \\ \\ therefore \: 6 \: is \: the \: median
