The present age of amars father is for that of Amar . After 6 years, the difference of their ages will be 30 years. find their present ages. ​

Let the present age of Amar is x years .

Therefore, the present age if his father is 4x year.

After 6 years, the age of Amar = (x+6) years.

After 6 years, the age of his father = (4x +6) years.

The difference of their ages =(4x +6) - (x+6) years, which is 30 years .

Therefore, (4x +6) - (x+6)=30

⇒ 4x + 6 -x -6 =30

⇒4x - x =30

⇒3x=30

⇒x= 10

Thus, the present age of Amar is 20 years and his father = 4x =4*10 = 40 years.
