the price of an article is rs 9350 which includes vat at 10% . Find how much less a coustomer pays for the article if vat on the article decreses by 3%

let original price be x
x + 10/100x = 9350
110/100 x = 9350
x = 9350/110 x 100
x = 85 X 100 = 8500 rupees

let vat be 7 %

 vat = 8500 X 7/100
= 595 

price of article including vat = 8500 + 595 = 9095 rupees
