The quantity of electricity needed to liberate 0.5 gram  equivalent of an element is

(b) 48250 coulomb

We know that 96500C of electricity is required for the liberation of 1 gram equivalent weight of any element.

Similarly, by the unitary method, we can calculate the amount of electricity needed to liberate 0.5 gram equivalent of the element.

It is equal to 96500C*0.5 = 48250 C

So, option (B) is the required answer.
