As shown in the figure the speed time graph in this case is a triangular structure hence the distance travel can be calculated easily by just calculating the area under the curve or triangle as in this case.  Area of a triangle is half base into altitude.

Area = ½ x b x a {where b is base length and a is altitude of triangle}
