the width of a rectangle is is two third of its length if the perimeter of the rectangle is 180 m find the dimensions of the rectangle

let x be the length.

width = 2x/3

perimeter of the rectangle = 180m

2(l+b) = 180m

2(x+2x/3) =180

10x/3=180

x = 180×3/10

x = 54m

so width = 36m
