Answer:

The two numbers be a,b respectively.

According to equation,

∴a−b=3⟶(1)

a

2

−b

2

=39

(a+b)(a−b)=39

(a+b)×3=39

(a+b)=13⟶(2)

a−b=3

a+b=13

On adding: 2a=16

a=8

putting a in equation (1)

a−b=3

8−b=3

b=5

Answer:

The numbers are 10 and 7.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let think the two numbers are X and y

The difference between them is 3

So,we can write, x-y=3

The difference between their Squares is 51

So,we can write, X^2 - y^2 =51

Let, X^2 -y^2=51

or, (X+y)(x-y)=51

or,(X+y) 3 =51

or,(X+y)=51/3=17

(x  + y) = 17  \\ (x - y) = 3  \\ 2x = 20 \\ x = 10

X=10

(X+y)=17

y=17-10=7

.:X=10,y=7(Answer)
