To Find :  the area of the grassbed.

Solution:

Area of square pond = 27²

grassbed of width 1.5 m

Hence  total side length   = 27 + 1.5 + 1.5  = 30 m

Area including grassbed = 30²

area of the grassbed. = 30² - 27²

= (30 + 27)(30 - 27)

= 57(3)

= 171  m²
