There is a rectangular field of length 600 m and breadth 400 m. There is another field of square shape with each side being 400 m. Find whose perimeter is more and by how much
2.The perimeter of a rectangular park is 560 m. Its breadth is 100 m. Find the length of the park.



3. A rectangular field is 255 m wide with perimeter 1400 m. Find the length of the field.​

1)length of rectangular field =600m

breadth =400m

perimeter= sum of all sides

= 2*(600+400)

= 2000 m......(1)

side of square field = 400m

perimeter = 4*side

= 4*400

1600m........(2)

from (1)and (2)

rectangular field's perimeter is 400 m more

2) breadth= 100m

perimeter = 560 m

2*(length + breadth)= 560.m

L +B= 280 => L+ 100=280

length= 280-100= 180

3) same as (2)

445 m is length
