Answer:

53: 113

Explanation:

Given A B and C are mixtures of milk and water in the ratio 1:5, 3:5 and 5:7 respectively.

Now part containing milk in A,B,C are

1/1+5 , 3/ 3 + 5, 5/ 5 + 7

1/6, 3/8, 5/12

Now part containing water in same way that is 5, 5,7 will be

5/6, 5/8, 7/12

According to question capacity of the containers are in the ratio 5 : 4 : 5

When mixed with milk we get

1/6 x 5 + 3/8 x 4 + 5/12 x 5

5/6 + 3/2 + 25/12

53 / 12

When mixed with water we get

5/6 x 5 + 5/8 x 4 + 7/12 x 5

25/6 + 5/2 + 35/12

113 / 12

Now ratio of milk to water will be

53/12 : 113/12

53 : 113

the ratio of milk to water, if the mixtures of all three containers are mixed together will be 53 : 113
