TV viewing is harmful for Children
T.V. or television as invented by J.L. Baird is one of the most significant contributions by Science to mankind. One of the chief sources of entertainment, we are all dependent on this gadget. However, watching too much of T.V. is quite dangerous for children.
As we call it the ‘Idiot Box’, T.V. first of all when watched for a long period of time can cause damage to the eyesight of the children. Also, due to all the cartoons, music and other amusement programs, kids nowadays seldom go out and play in the fields. They are always hooked onto the T.V.
They do not thus learn much and gain knowledge and watching excessive T.V. makes children dull at times. Also T.V. programs and films often contain obscene items and sometimes depict violent scenes that are not at all good for these innocent children. Thus TV viewing is harmful for children.
