two men support a uniform horizontal beam on its two ends. If one of them suddenly leaves it, then force exerted by the beam on other man will increase/decrease/remain same?

I guess the weight experienced by the man or the force exerted by the beam on the person will decrease.
The log / beam falls freely on to the ground with one end (like a pivot) on the shoulder of the man still carrying it.
