\textbf{Answer}

Lets suppose that the first number is 5x

Since two numbers are in the ratio 5:7

=> Second number = 7x

When 8 is subtracted from both numbers,
First number = 5x-8
&
Second number = 7x-8

According to the question,

\textbf{(5x-8) / (7x-8) = 2/3}

=> 3(5x-8) = 2(7x-8)

=> 15x - 24 = 14x - 16

=> 15x - 14x = -16 + 24

=> x = 8

So first number = 5x = 5×8 = 40
&
Second number = 7x = 7×8 = 56

So product of these numbers = 40 × 56

\textbf{So product = 2240}

\textbf{Hope It Helps}

\textbf{Thanks}
