Verify commutative property of addition for the following pairs of rational numbers:
1) -4/9 and 3/7
2) -2/-5 and 1/3
3) 9/11 and 2/13​

(-4/9)+(3/7)

If you interchange them by their positions there will be no effect on the equation, so it does follow the property of commutativity ---

=>Lcm of 7 & 9 = 63

=>(-28+27)/63 can also be written as (27-28)/63

If you equate any of the above the answer will be -1/63

Hence proved that -4/9 and 3/7 are commutative to each other..

Solution 2

-2/-5 can be written as 2/5

So,

What you have to do is to find the L.C.M

i.e 5X3=15

Now,

2/5+1/3=>6+5/15=11/15

Whether you do it by interchanging their positions the answer will be the same i.e 11/15

Hence proved that -2/-5 and 1/3 are commutative to each other..

Solution 3

L.C.M=11X13=143

9/11+2/13=>117+22/143=>260/143

Whether you do it by interchanging their positions the answer will be the same i.e 260/143

Hence proved that  9/11 and 2/13​ are commutative to each other
