Solution:

_______________________

Associative property :

a(bc) = (ab)c

_______________________

LHS = 2/5[(-3/7)(2/3)]

= 2/5[ -2/7]

= -4/35 ------(1)

RHS = [(2/5)(-3/7)]*(2/3)

= (-6/35)*(2/3)

= -4/35 ------(2)

From (1) &(2) , we get

LHS = RHS

take the part

2/5*(-3/7*2/3)

=2/5(-2/7)

=-4/35

now take lhs part

{2/5*(_3/7)}*2/3

=(-6/35)*2/3

=-4/35

lhs =rhs

hence proved
