We have a copper wire of resistance R. This wire is pulled so that its length is double ( temperature remains constant) find the new resistance of the wire in terms of its original resistance.

Ria103: there are no steps involved.this is a fact but you can understand by the formula R=rho*length/area of crossection.

if the resistance of before wire is R and then it is double so the resistance of new wire will also get double that is 2R.
