What are the advantages do terrestrial organisms have over aquatic organisms with the regards of obtaining oxygen ??

the % of oxygen in air is more then the % of oxygen in water. so its better for terrestrial organisms to breathe faster then aquatic organisms.

♤The amount of oxygen dissolved in water is fairly low as compared to the amount of oxygen present in air.

♤ the rate of breathing in aquatic organisms is much faster than that seen in terrestrial organisms.

♤ Fishes take in water through there mouth and force it past the gills where the dissolved oxygen is taken up by the blood.
