Plants perform different types of movement in various methods.

But,there are mainly three types of methods.

1) Tropic movement:

This movement is directed towards the direction of the stimuli.

Eg. Geotropism,Phototropism etc.

2)Tactic movement:

This movement is directed towards the direction of stimulus.

Eg. Chemotactic ,Thermotactic etc.

3) Nastic movement:

This movement is mainly non-directional movement.

Eg. Chemonastic, Seismonastic etc.
