what happen when ammeter is connected in parallel and voltmeter
Answers
HEY SAKNA HERE
Ammeter:
We connect it in Series. Why?
An ammeter is a LOW RESISTANCE device and is connected in series so as the whole circuit current flows through it for an accurate measurement.
Why don’t we connect it in Parallel:
Well, if we connect it in parallel what are we going to achieve? Are we going to get the accurate measurement? NO.
WHY?
let’s talk about nature of current flow. Current always flows toward low resistance path.Right? So, if an ammeter is connected in shunt manner then the whole current would flow through the branch itself as it’s low resistance path.Hence, we are not going to get the meaningful measurement.

Voltmeter:
Why do we connect it in Parallel:
A voltmeter is a device used to measure the potential difference “Between Two Points”. In order to measure the potential between two points, we have NO WAY around except to connect it in Parallel.
Why Don’t we connect it in Series?
A voltmeter is a device of having high resistance. So, if we connect it in Series, it would hinder the current flow in the circuit hence Open Circuit results. That’s why we do not connect it in Series.
