When the author steered the boat towards the fishing punt  then he actually hit the three fishermen who was sitting in the punt in the chairs . Those was actually the old gentlemen . This led them towards the heap which was at the bottom of boat . Being the old gentlemen they have to go through efforts in order to take themselves out of this situation. in the last they also cursed the author and his other fellows.
