Dear student ,

When a ray of light falls normally on the surface of a plane mirror , the following things happen:
1. Incident ray is reflected back along the same path.
2. Angle if incidence is zero and angle of  reflection will be  zero [according to laws of reflection] .

Please refer the attachment for ray diagram

Hope its clear!!!!

the normal ray is formed on imaginary line at 90°.when an object is kept in front of mirror the reflection will be on same direction as they are kept in 90°.so angle of incidence is 0 if angle of incidence is 0 then the angle of reflection will be also 0 as the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection(law of reflection)
