OCTET RULE: Every system in nature tries to have the state of maximum stability.
Therefore, reactive atoms (or elements) undergo chemical or bond formation in order to acquire octet configuration (Maximum eight electrons) in there valence shell.
This is called OCTET SHELL.
Limitations of Octet Rule: According to me,the limitation is that it can't be applied over non-metals after silicon.
