when we get injured there are some specialised particles in our blood cells which are platelets these platelets get concentrated in a large amount on the place of injury they have a large amount of Vitamin K the injured tissue is recovered by the blood platelets these platelets released thromboplastin which turns into fibrin and when the fibrin + red blood cells mix with each other they form blood clot which appears dark red in colour

They are beneficial when they form in response to an injury or a cut, plugging the injured blood vessel, which stops bleeding.
